What was the highlight of Sol y Paz Gran Canaria
If you want cheap and cheerful, and are prepared to use taxi to go downtown, then it's fine.
We were self catering. Chose this apartment based on price having stayed before, 10 years ago. We got what we expected for the price, but it definitely needs modernisation. It's high up on cliff top, taxis required, (quite cheap) but we were happy with that, knew this before we came, would not be suitable for people with mobility issues who did not want to use taxis.
Sliding door to apartment was warped, did not fit runners properly, however once reported to management, this was fixed immediately.

one of the most friendliest places to stay you can guarantee meeting people from previous visits .
breakfast is great english bacon sausages and mushrooms and is cooked at the pool bar location to shops,bars and nightlife is excellent just 20 yards away from the hotel
although the place is kept as clean as possible it really does need refurbishing the rooms furniture ,kitchen and decor are the same since it opened in 1986

No internet. Could be a little noisy at times. But no biggie.

Ok for what you pay.
People were lovely. Lots of sunny area's. Happy hour.
No real sheets for the sofa bed. Tired looking. Toilet not bolted down almost fell off it. Tea abd coffee over priced at the bar €3.50 for a hot chocolate. Apartment smelt of stale smoke. Not much in the way of kitchen utensils These are mainly niggles though id go back. Have to pay for safe hire. Fan hire. Wifi. Etc would rather pay more when booking abd get these included
